Modern Trends in Entrepreneurship and the Role of Small
and Medium Enterprises in Enhancing Vision 2030.


This conference comes as a direct contribution from Qassim University, represented by the College of
Business & Economics in achieving the aspirations of the KSA Vision 2030. These will be achieved by
providing common ground to academic discussion among researchers and policy makers to monitor
various developments in entrepreneurship and SMEs field and study the obstacles and barriers facing
by entrepreneurship and SMEs. In addition to presenting success stories, and national, regional and
global experiences to benefit in this area and draw lesson learned from them.

Objectives


Reviewing modern academic and scientific trends of the concepts of entrepreneurship
and SMEs and its role in achieving sustainable development and competitive
development in the light of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

Evaluating the current practices of government agencies and their roles in promoting
SMEs and the concept of entrepreneurship.

Presenting successful practices in the field of entrepreneurship education both
nationally and globally, and the expected role of the Saudi universities and other
academic institutions in the development of concepts and behavior of
entrepreneurship.

Diagnosing opportunities and challenges facing women entrepreneurship in KSA.

Assessing the current status of the entrepreneurship financial path and review the
available financing solutions and alternatives and how to develop financing
platforms and tools for SMEs.

Enhancing entrepreneurship and clarify the role of creative thinking and innovation
in the emergence of new companies and opportunities.

Reviewing national, regional and international practices and experiences in the field
of entrepreneurship and drawing lesson learned.
